We took over the lease of the shop in March 2019. With understanding clients from both the hair and beauty salons we renovated the shop, moving the beauty downstairs to open the florists on the first floor. Posies of Clevedon opened on the 1st June 2019.

My family are Clevedonians, I have been a hairstylist for 28 years; when I was 28 I set up my own business LStyle in Alexandra Road. After 12 years I moved across the road to share a room in tranquillity. When doing that I reduced my days and started training as a Florist with the British Academy of Floral Art. My Grandparents had a fruit and veg shop in the Triangle, my Aunt and Uncle had three florists, in Ledbury, Leominster and Hereford all called Posies. Leominster still runs under that name today. In the holidays, bank holidays, Valentine’s Day/Mother’s Day I would help out with the 4am market run in Birmingham so I think floristry is in my DNA. My favourite flowers are Sweet Peas. For anyone who knows me well I love Christmas, but since working in the amazing atmosphere of the florists, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day are getting up there.
Sara
I started working for Posies in the summer of 2019 after 15 years working in Hospitality. My family are keen gardeners and enjoy making floral arrangements as a hobby of theirs, so having grown up with this I have always had an interest in Floristry and a desire to work with flowers full time. I am currently a student with the Academy of Floral Art and I am currently working towards my level 2. Working full time at Posies I am learning how to create many different floristry techniques and how best to care for flowers amongst lots of other things.
As flowers are seasonal picking just one favourite would be hard but a few top picks would be: Sunflowers, Thistles and Wax Flowers

Sarah has been a florist for over 20 years gaining brilliant experience in working with flowers for all occasions.

Hillary
Hillary is Leanne’s Mum and has been apart of Posies of Clevedon since the very beginning. She helps out in the shop and with our deliveries. Hillary’s favourite flower is a tulip.
